Three colleagues from West Coast Partnership Development (WCPD) have walked along London Underground’s famous Circle Line route in aid of charity.

Supporting Railway Children’s annual Rail Trail event, the WCPD team was comprised of Joost Noordewier, Customer Experience and Commercial Director; Ian Coles, Head of Marketing and Fares Development; and Martin Ward, Head of Fleet.

Starting and finishing at Paddington, the 25km walk through the capital followed 27 stations of the Underground’s iconic tube line. The circular route passed many famous London landmarks including the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and the Tower of London.

Raising over £900 between them for Railway Children, they were joined by other colleagues from across the industry. The money pledged from the walk will help the charity reach and protect more vulnerable children on the streets and railways of India, Tanzania and the UK.

Speaking afterwards, Martin Ward said: “It was a great experience to join colleagues from across the industry to support a worthy cause.

“The rainy weather may have made the walk more challenging, however spirits continued to be high throughout as we knew the difference the money raised would make to lives of children supported by the charity.”
