West Coast Partnership Development (WCPD) is announcing the appointments of Simon Aslett as Rolling Stock Director and Joe Parkes as Business Design and Organisation Director.

Simon has been with WCPD for the last four years as the Head of Fleet, Commercial, working on the design of the high-speed train. He boasts an extensive railway career of 26 years with previous roles at FirstGroup, Bombardier Transportation, Eversholt Rail and RailTrack. In these positions he has led many rolling stock purchasing processes as well as being involved in train design and development.

Joe joins the business from NRS Healthcare, with a 13-year career in both HR and Service Operations leadership positions across logistics, engineering and rail sectors. His experience includes roles at industrial services firm ERIKS UK and Ireland; delivery companies DPD UK and TNT; Shell Energy; and Network Rail.

“Simon has a wealth of experience of the programme already, as well as impressive career portfolio around train fleet design and delivery, whilst Joe is bringing over a decade of HR and Service Operations expertise to help shape our future business.”

Simon will start his new role on Monday 3 June, and Joe will join the business on Tuesday 11 June.
