Working with our stakeholders
We know that trains play a vital role in bringing together people, places, and opportunities. High-speed rail will be a catalyst for growth and investment driving connectivity, providing a once in a generation opportunity to transform the transport network.
At West Coast Partnership Development, our role is to plan and deliver the high-speed rail services that will use the new HS2 infrastructure.
What this means is that we’re working on how the intercity and regional services should change so that everything works together to give customers the best possible service, that provides growth opportunities to businesses, and drives a greener UK.
And in doing that we’re working closely with Department for Transport, HS2 Ltd, and Network Rail. We’ll also be talking to interested people and communities all along the West Coast Main Line.
This is the start of our journey together with our stakeholders to shape the future of UK rail, with WCPD aspiring to be a champion in customer experience.
Over the coming years we will work in partnership with our stakeholders, and we value all of their feedback. We will continue to provide regular updates on our plans, and we will ensure that there are plenty of opportunities for ideas and thoughts to be shared.
